The Future of Debate and Politics has Changed Forever
Sutter Creek, CA (PRWEB) September 3, 2008 -- During the height of the presidential campaign season, Debate.com (http://www.debate.com) launched version 3.0, providing the online debating community with an enhanced forum to debate the hot political issues.
This is the biggest release to date, with a complete overhaul of the site. Version 3.0 includes many new features, including technology that allows members to vote on 7 criteria for each debate, search for other debaters based on their skill level and hot topics, verify their unique identities using cell phone technology, communicate and interact via a friend and messaging system, and create extensive profiles with photo albums and informational summaries.
"The feedback from the community has been extremely positive. Users are happy with the current changes and are already submitting their requests for the next release," reports Nate Simmons, Customer Support Manager. Debate.com has plans to add more features and services in the near future that compliment its unique debating platform, including user created polls, blogs, and forums. "Our ultimate goal is to become the first choice for active Internet users when it comes to choosing a forum to debate and discuss the issues," says owner and sole developer, Philip Ferreira.
About Debate.com (http://www.debate.com): The concept of Debate.com was founded by husband and wife owners of WebCorp, LLC in the summer of 2007, out of their desire to determine the winner of their recurring dinner table debates. Debate.com is a membership-based online debating community designed to provide an easy and free system for members to intellectually challenge, debate and communicate with each other on the Web. Members create their own unique profiles which include photos, key interests, and opinions. The proprietary technology creates a "Disagreement Ratio" with other members based on their view of important topics, making it easy to select an opponent or build a group of likeminded friends. Debaters can challenge existing members or invite their friends to join a debate on a topic of their choice selected from a wide range of categories including Politics (http://www.debate.com/debates/politics/), Society (http://www.debate.com/debates/society/), Religion (http://www.debate.com/debates/religion/), and Entertainment (http://www.debate.com/debates/entertainment/).
"The content of Debate.com is limited only by your imagination and the imagination of others," states co-founder and site designer, Philip Ferreira. A formal debate is between two members, the Instigator and Contender; but every member can participate in the debate by posting comments and voting on the winner. Debate.com is evolutionary in nature and will continue to add new features to encourage further education, discussion and communication among the members.
