Most recently Dr. Sridharan worked in the Department of Political Science at the National University of Singapore where she taught courses in International Relations and lectured on South Asian government and politics. Her research and publications have focused on foreign policy analysis, comparative regionalism, Indian foreign and domestic politics, human rights and Third World issues. Dr. Sridharan's articles and opinion editorials have been featured in numerous scholarly journals and newspapers. She has authored books on Indian foreign policy, regionalism and an introductory text in political science. She is a frequent commentator on current affairs programmes on television and radio. She has won a number of teaching excellence awards and fellowships. The Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London, awarded her the Henry Charles Chapman Fellowship in 2005/2006. Dr. Sridharan was recently appointed as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the South Asian Studies Programme, National University of Singapore.

"We are very excited to have Dr. Sridharan join the World-Check team. With her extensive knowledge and research experience, she will be a tremendous addition to our organization," said Mr. Leppan. "Dr. Sridharan's appointment is in line with our commitment to increasingly invest in technology and people in order to deliver critical information that will help our clients to mitigate their risk and keep high-risk individuals out of the global financial system. Our Asia Research Team have impeccable academic qualifications and highly specialized local knowledge and language skills which gives an added dimension to the quality of our research output".

"Coupled with Asia's phenomenal economic growth is the need for good governance and transparent practices which can only be realized by tracking and controlling corruption, curbing money laundering and preventing the flow of terrorist financing. These goals can be achieved with the reliable information which World-Check's researchers are constantly engaged in collecting and updating. It is a pleasure to work with these dedicated researchers and I hope to build on the existing strength of the Asian research team" said Dr. Sridharan.

Over the past year World-Check has invested vast amounts of resources in a process of enhancing its coverage of the Asian region. Its Asian operation has subsequently been developed into a highly specialised research centre which ensures that clients are provided with accurate, current and pertinent data. World-Check's researchers also include open source intelligence specialists from around the world who collect publicly available information from governments, non-governmental organizations, academia and global media in multiple languages including: Arabic, Urdu, Pashto, Tajik, Russian, Farsi, Tamil, Turkish, Korean, Chinese and Bahasa, amongst others. Accordingly, World-Check has seen a phenomenal increase in the number of clients based within the Asian region. This is not surprising given the breadth and depth of its research output.
