A World of Possibilities Announces New Series of Podcasts on Good Politics Radio
Anchorage, AK (PRWEB) June 14, 2008 -- The weekly radio show, A World of Possibilities, hosted by Mark Sommer, announces a new schedule of future audio podcasts on Good Politics Radio. New programs will be podcast on June 17, June 24, and July 1 on the Good Politics Radio internet site, www.GoodPoliticsRadio.com.
The June 17 podcast is titled, "Inefficient But Indispensable: Reforming and Reviving the United Nations." Critics call the United Nations inefficient and say it needs a dose of private sector management to bring the lumbering bureaucracy into line. Others say that, even so, the U.N. remains a bargain, taking on tasks that no nation will and point to it cost of $2 per person per year compared to $1000 a year each American pays for the Iraq War. Join us to explore ways of reforming the U.N. to meet 21st century challenges.
The June 24 podcast is titled, "Buycott/Boycott: Harnessing the Power of the Purchase." Most of us feel powerless before the vast, unaccountable institutions that govern our lives; but, we may hold in our wallets and purses a power that, if properly applied, could transform the global economy. Harnessing the power of the purchase through boycotts as well as the more familiar boycotts could save us and the planet.
The July 1 podcast is titled, "The Wind Will Carry Us: Moving Beyond the Oil Economy." Renewable Republicans. Conserving conservatives. Across this country where oil has been king, a new breeze is rising, carrying with it currents of economic and political change. Oil is heading out and wind is blowing in. So jump in the truck for a ride to the plains where wind is the new power.
These topics and guests will be heard on audio podcasts on Good Politics Radio at www.GoodPoliticsRadio.com and on www.AWorldofPossibilities.com.

The Politics of Health
I was thinking about the quarrel (well, fight to the death, actually) between conventional medicine and alternatives like herbal or holistic medicine. So, I did some research to see if I could figure out what's the big beef between these to approaches to healing. I always believed that herbal medicine pre-dated conventional medicine by thousands of years. It turns out that it doesn't, not by THOUSANDS, anyway! Conventional medicine appears to be younger than herbal medicine by only about 1,100 years.
